About Me

I was born in El Paso, Texas. I went to Deerfield Academy and later to the Florida Institue of Technology where I received a BS in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics.

I had a small consulting company which I started out of college, generally doing computer related work, and later got into the semiconductor business, working for GTE Microcircuits. Later I worked with Microtest, a small company that developed local area network test equipment.

I managed to spend a couple years working as a commercial river guide, rafting the Colorado and Green rivers in Utah and the Grand Canyon. While not working or rafting, I sang with the Scottsdale Symphony Chorale, was one of the instructors with the Arizona Mountaineering Club, and got my pilot's license.

With not enough to do, I decided to get married and get my real estate license, but not necessarily in that order.

I am an SRI certified Master Neurostrategist (SRI coaching is a premier training organization for negotiation, presentation, coaching, and NLP skills) and attend many motivational and self improvement events where I serve as a facilitator. I host periodic investment seminars designed to help people make better decisions about important things in their lives, including business, investing, and relationships.

I live in Scottsdale with my wife Lisa, two children, and way too many cats, dogs, and turtles.

My Real Estate practice centers around relationships. It is vitally important to me, in Real Estate (and in life in general), to maintain excellent relationships.

I am versed in foreclosures, short sales, pre foreclosure properties, as well as the more standard Real Estate transactions. Being an investor, I understand the particular needs of other investors and am knowledgeable in the area of 1031 exchanges, tenants in common, and many other investment related areas. As a commercial Real Estate investor, I have access to numerous interesting commercial investment ideas as well, including land banking, development, and entitlements.

A local, well-known Real Estate attorney writes a blog with me, which you can see here.

If you are interested in learning more about coaching, call me for a no obligation consultation. In coaching I generally follow the principals of co-active coaching, using NLP, human needs psychology, and the Master Steps to Creating Lasting Change.
